You will be responsible for development, troubleshooting, and documentation of scripts and tools to

aid PhantomFX's VFX production workflows.


Roles and Responsibility:


  • Collaborate with R&D developers and pipeline supervisors to develop specific new Python tools and
  • workflow
  • Contribute to the development and constant improvement of the PhantomFX pipeline
  • Must have a mature approach to software design and implementation
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with other developers, in a coordinated manner, on the same
  • product. A successful candidate will work transparently, not opaquely
  • Must be able to communicate eloquently and effectively with technical and non-technical
  • stakeholders
  • Provide technical advice and support for artists
  • Participate in the mentoring and hiring process as and when required
  • You will be supported in this role by our Product Lead.


Requirements


Must Have


  • Previous experience in the Visual Effects industry in a similar role
  • Excellent Python scripting and UI skills (PySide/PyQt)
  • Solid understanding of the Visual Effects and CG pipeline
  • Proven experience in developing tools for industry standard DCC packages such as Maya, Houdini or Nuke
  • Previous experience working with version control systems like Git, SVN, etc.


Nice to Have


  • A degree in Computer Science, Computer Graphics or other related field
  • Proficiency with Linux
